Last August Roberta, a PONYS member, had the opportunity to take part in SKYSEF 2016 as accompanying person, thanks to Scienza e Scuola, a no-profit association involved in realization of outreach project for high school students in collaboration with important scientific institutions in Neapolitan area.
SKYSEF is a forum hosted by Shizuoka Kita High School, in Shizuoka Prefecture (Japan), where students from all around the world can share research project developed during the year.
Roberta was part of I.S. “Leonardo da Vinci” team, from Poggiomarino, together with the teacher Maria Rosaria del Sorbo and the students Sara Ambrosio, Pasquale Falco and Arcangelo Pisa, who presented their research about how to improve a solar panel efficiency.
There were other two Italian teams, from Liceo “A. Gatto” of Agropoli and from Liceo “E. Torricelli” of Somma Vesuviana.
It has been a wonderful experience and Roberta wants to share with us some of SKYSEF 2016 moments, hoping that more Italians schools will be involved in further editions. Contact us or Scienza e Scuola for other information!
